Shi Mun Lee

Biography

Shi Mun received her BSc in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Western Australia. After completing MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore), she went on to Thomas Dawson Lab (A*SRL, A*STAR) working on microbiome since 2018. Outside of work, she explored data analytics through Specialist Diploma in Predictive Analytics (Singapore Polytechnic) which she enjoyed very much. In 2022, she started PhD (Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore) under the guidance of Dr. Kumar Selvarajoo and Dr. Thomas Dawson, where she hopes to understand the secondary metabolism of Malassezia and how they affect skin health.

Research Interests

Skin health from the perspective of microbe-host interaction, multi-omics data analyses (lipidomics and RNA-seq)
